Razzle Dazzle Fashion Club
Throughout the outreach season, Razzle Dazzle Fashion Club students work directly with skilled designers, seamstresses and local experts to learn the basics of fashion design, pattern-drafting and garment construction. Student-designers are encouraged to establish not just a garment, but an ensemble for their target market. From modest beginnings to stunning creations, each fashion show look is a labor of love and a reflection of the students’ dedication and passion.
Fashion Club Outreach Program
Participating in a fashion program can help teenagers build a sense of community. Working alongside peers with similar interests fosters collaboration, teamwork, and a sense of belonging. They can share ideas, give and receive feedback, and support each other in their creative endeavors. This community aspect can be particularly beneficial for teenagers who might struggle to find their niche in traditional school settings, providing them with a space where they feel valued and understood.
The Razzle Dazzle Fashion program students receive intensive training and personalized guidance over the course of the 29-week season. Offering this program for free ensures that all teenagers, regardless of their financial background, have the opportunity to learn valuable skills and explore their interests in fashion. This promotes equity by providing access to resources and education that might otherwise be unavailable to underprivileged youth. It levels the playing field, giving every interested teen a chance to discover their potential in the fashion industry without the barrier of cost.
Razzle Dazzle Fashion Show
The Razzle Dazzle Fashion Show is the grand finale of a year-long program where student-designers pour their creativity, passion, and newfound skills into creating unique collections. Utilizing a full length, professional runway, an audience of 300 is captivated by each distinct collection. The 2024 Razzle Dazzle Fashion Show featured 60 runway looks from 14 designers aged 12- to 17-yearsold.
